Missing support for latest versions of PDF libraries

Hi
We are using this module on multiple sites, but have discovered that we cannot use latest versions of PDF libraries like domPDF and mPDF.
The module only seems to support older versions of these libraries and since these old version have multiple security issues, we would normally update the library to the latest version. But when the Drupal module, using the library, expects the structure of an old version, we are now stuck with old versions of these libraries

Are there any plans to update the module to support the latest version or can you point in the direction of a module that replaces this module?
