Hello.

i tried searching for a similar issue that is posted here, as well as google'd a lot since yesterday. posting here may be my last resort.

i am using drupal 7 to create a web application for our office. basically the project is an inventory system. i used the print, email and pdf module, basically to generate printer friendly pages as well as pdf. the pdf library i use is dompdf.

i created the template files in the theme directory, as per documentation of the module.. these are
> print--html--node--[my_type].tpl.php and
> print--pdf--node--[my_type].tpl.php and

my problem is that the html template is rendering perfectly, but the pdf keeps on generating the default template found in the print.tpl.php that is found inside the module. i went ahead and pasted my template code to the print.tpl.php and i get the correct pdf rendering. however, i don't want to do that because i have several nodes to render as pdf.

i also tried renaming the template file to the other naming conventions in the documentation, but to no avail. hope i can have some help :)

thank you.

-chris

It looks like you're using TCPDF.. Try to use wkhtmltopdf to see if the output looks more similar to the expected result.

thank you so much for the reply jcnventura :)

after tweaking a bit, we found out that we have not set the permissions of the lib folders to writable. the pdf is now rendering correctly :)

hello again jcn.

i have stumbled on another issue... it probably is my problem, since i am still struggling with drupal >.<... anyway, i would like to seek guidance on how to do this.

i created a report using views (as page). This page displays a table based on a filter (month and year). i then enabled the print friendly version (pfv) link to appear on this page. my problem here is that if i click the pfv, it does not include the content of the view. but when i manually insert the word "print" in the url, it shows the correct rendition of the page...

thank you soo much and i apologize for taking much of your time...

Yeah, that's a known bug.. It's been reported in #1322222: Problem with URL parameters in D7
