Prepopulating fields from Paragraphs entities?

Is it possible to prepopulate fields from Paragraphs entities?

Example: A content type allows adding multiple entities "Telephone" (via Paragraphs), which consists of the fields "Label" and "Telephone number". When prepopulating, it should be possible to add multiple pairs (label + telephone number) to this node, i.e., creating multiple Paragraphs entities.

Field collection could be used instead, but this likely going to be deprecated (it’s recommended to use Paragraphs instead).
