Hi Dave Reid,

This is an initial patch that needs to be applied once pathauto_persist is updated to work also for entity type user.

It does check path['pathauto'] (D7) / pathauto_perform_alias (D6) in exact the same way like it is done for nodes.

As this will be unset by default, it'll work the same for installations without pathauto_persist.

Came looking for this (D6) and here it is. Marking as a bug since disable API is inconsistent. I actually need 6.1 but this patch is committable as is.
