1. Is there some drupal site where I can see a demo of this module running ? 6.x branch preferably.

Before I tell more on why it is not running over here - I need to see it in action via firebug...

cheers

Super!

Can you tell me exactly why is this demo site considered to be loading in parallel. Point me to two resources (images, js files..) that can be seen to be loading in parallel with the firebug->net tab.

I understand quite well the idea of the subdomains and the reasoning behind doing this thing. I just can not see it in firebug visually and make the difference between a site loading in parallel and a site NOT loading in parallel.

It will help if you point me to a page that is not loading in parallel and it is clearly seen.

Thanks for the patience.

MAybe my confusion is due to the lack of a real firebug screenshot on the project page. There is a need for real before and after screenshots . IMHO...

css is loaded in parallel
look for cd1.*.com

see - http://segments.at/en/node/13

look at the 1st 4 lines in firebug's Net tab. The two css and js files overlap and load in parallel. This module is disabled on the site.

How is my site different from the demo page?

PS. I saw the different subdomain + the parallel loading even before I asked above. The problem is that I see parallel loading on drupal sites that dont have the module... I want to learn to see the difference.

firefox doesn't obey the standards and loads thing in parallel; IE on the other hand obeys the standards and thus can benefit from this module. It's sorta tricky to workout; using wireshark is the best way to test page load times across different browsers.

marking this as fixed; this is very dependent on your browser. Results very.
