Was wondering if anyone has had success with the edit module (or alternative) for live IPE of WYSIWYG HTML?

There's an ongoing discussion on getting Panopoly setup to use ckeditor and / or the edit module over at #1965864: Support CKEditor in Panopoly. You can see some of the holdups and join in the discussion.

I'm sorry, but something just whizzed by overhead.... is Spark the same as Panopoly? I have been admiring Spark's differences from Panopoly and hoping beyond hope for its release for Drupal 7. Did I miss something?
Sorry.. it really did whizz on by. I can see this Spark thread is actually in a Panopoly issue queue. Apologies.

Spark is not the same as Panopoly, but we use some of the same modules (thinking of course about Spark's Drupal 7 version). The main defining module used by Spark is Edit for in-place editing of content on its view page. Unfortunately, at the moment Panopoly is incompatible with this module because we use TinyMCE for the WYSIWYG support (Edit requires CKEditor), but this is something that we're discussing here: #1965864: Support CKEditor in Panopoly
