Is possible to have the same button have two simultaneous functions in node management:

1) work like forward (navigate to another page) if the nodes already exist;
2) work like “add and forward” if the node doesn’t exist yet.

The alternative that I know off is having two buttons, one above the other.

If I understand right, then the lonely node management page should exactly fit your needs.
Update to the latest pageroute module and install the nodefamily module. Set a node population of 1 for your content type and create a lonely node management page for it.
