Put admin interface in block

Not currently, but that would be in interesting feature! Probably not too hard with drupal_get_form() and such.

I just want to second this feature request, but take it even a level further: Since a nodequeue could be just a list of titles that can be dragged/dropped (ie. all the other fields could be dropped to create a 'simple queue' interface), it seems to me the entire interface could be put in a block.

One of the main reasons I hesitate to use nodeques with my clients is they have to go to a special admin page to edit the order of their content when, almost all other editing they do is 'inline' (ie. on the content page itself). I try not to send them to a bunch of admin screens to manage their site.

So, if I could put a block on the page's sidebar with the nodequeue for that page (actually, it's normally a view, which maybe needs extra consideration on how to associate the block with the view), it would make this as user friendly (and more usable) than using draggable tables or another 'inline' solution.

Hope this gets some heavy consideration, would be the last piece for me to roll this out on every site I build. Thanks for the great module!

I would be great to get the queue to display in a block so I could show it on the dashboard page. I commonly use nodequeue to create slideshows and having nodequeue allows the content admins to easily rearrange the slides by drag and drop.

+1 This would make nodequeue the final solution for any ordering. I've been trying to see if I could use draggable views with nodequeue because of this.

We have context links in core so I think that block should be edited at block-edit page navigated by context links or block-admin UI.
OTOH it's not good to place edit forms all over admin UI. This way seems more usable to have all nodequeue editing UI in one place.

IMO, this feature should be implemented as a nodequeue submodule that creates a block for every nodequeue and places it's drag'n'drop form in the block configuration page. This way, the site editor is only two (intuitive) clicks away from manipulating a nodequeue.

We have a version about to be rolled out which will propose creation as a submodule of nodequeue. It'll require a little patching to nodequeue itself, but could then operate as an optional submodule that people could turn on if they wanted it.

Our work is currently for D6, so I'll probably post it in another (separate) issue...Watch for that soon (I hope)

@Rob, it's ok to post that version in here. We'll take a look at it and I'll port it to D7 myself if we agree on the implementation :)

Does it follow the guidelines from #5/#7 or you took a different approach?
