Hi maintainers,

I have pushed a Drupal 11/12 modernization branch and tag:

- branch: feat/d11-modernization
- tag: 2.0.0-rc1

The work includes:
- Drupal 11/12 compatibility fixes
- PHPStan/PHPCS cleanup
- simplified local gateway setup with dotenv and Makefile
- updated Socket.IO gateway setup/docs
- Chatroom integration notes

I have Developer access and was able to push code and the tag, but I cannot create the release on drupal.org.

Could a maintainer with release permissions create the 2.0.0-rc1 release from the tag, or grant the necessary release permission?

Thanks!

Project: Node.js integration » Drupal.org project maintainership
Version: 2.0.0-alpha2 »

At least 14 days have passed since I opened this request on September 23, with no response from the project maintainers. I am therefore moving this issue to the Drupal.org project ownership queue.

https://www.drupal.org/project/nodejs

I remain interested in actively maintaining this project. I am already a co-maintainer, but my current permissions do not allow me to create releases on Drupal.org. I have prepared the Drupal 11/12 modernization work and would like to publish and maintain the updated releases.

Could the project moderators please help extend my existing permissions, particularly “Administer releases”, along with any other permissions needed to maintain the code and project page?

I am requesting an extension of my co-maintainer permissions, not a transfer of project ownership.

Thank you for your help!

hello avpaderno,

No reply from le72 yet?

It does not seem any email went through for this offer. The only maintainer who logged in at least once in the past 365 days is still le72; I will contact him right after posting this comment.

This is the message I sent.

Hello Lev,

I am contacting you because Alessandro (https://www.drupal.org/u/afeijo), who is already co-maintainer, offered to become maintainer for Node.js integration (https://www.drupal.org/project/nodejs), a project for which you are maintainer.

Since Alessandro is already co-maintainer, basing on "How project moderators handle requests to be project owner, maintainer, or co-maintainer / Requests to become maintainer from a co-maintainer" (https://www.drupal.org/docs/develop/managing-a-drupalorg-theme-module-or...) I added Alessandro as maintainer.

I am sending a similar message to all the project maintainers, and the project co-maintainers with the "Administer maintainers" permission, who logged in at least once in the past 12 months. In this case, that is just you.

Project moderators have not removed the existing maintainers/co-maintainers; the project owner will not be replaced either. Maintainers cannot change the project owner; co-maintainers/maintainers can only be removed/added by people who have the permission to administer co-maintainers/maintainers.

As last note: This offer is about being maintainer, which is different from being co-maintainer. A maintainer is a person who has all the drupal.org permissions on a project: Write to VCS, Edit project, Administer maintainers, Maintain issues, Administer releases. A person who does not have all those permissions is a co-maintainer.

Best regards,
Alberto Paderno

le72 has been notified you have been added as maintainer, even though we are not waiting for his approval. If you find your permissions on the project have been changed, please send me a private message on Drupal Slack.
