I can see Drupal communicating with node js but it is not receiving notifications from node js. I can see debug messages from server but no output. i check the status report.

NODE.JS The Node.js server was successfully reached. Can Drupal connect to the Node.js server?

I am trying to eliminate ambiguities from the config file, report and documentation. What does the last sentence imply?

thanks

thanks for the report. the last sentence comes from the nodejs.install file - https://cgit.drupalcode.org/nodejs/tree/nodejs.install#n65

that's definitely confusing, and i'd welcome a patch to that function to return a clear 'everything is ok' or 'there is a problem - problem description', instead of the current state.

thanks for reply.

the real problem here is that im only seeing one way communication (drupal to nodejs server but not back again). i realise this is not the place to raise these but i am having problems getting the module working and a lack of error logging and reporting making diagnostics difficult. I've raised multiple issues on github. generally there are quite a few ambiguiities in the existing docs which are making it difficult to get started.

If we can address these it may help others getting started with the module and serve to improve documentation.

ugh, yeah, lots of room for improvement here. i'll tend to the github issues.

Much appreciated and many thanks. great to know you are still working on it as most of what i want to do with drupal revolves around async functionality provided by your module and server.

Do/can you offer paid support options for future improvements and new features?
