Hi,

I've been using the 2.x dev branch for quite a while now, and it seems/seemed pretty stable.
Today I've updated to the latest snapshot and I noticed some issues: an ugly sql error and a notice.
The attached patch should fix them.

Thanks, the sql stmt got significantly rewritten in the latest version but I rolled in your pass-by-reference fix.
