Hi again,

as the title says, it would be great to be able to delete the menu item from within the node edit page.

I will probably hack the code again to add this feature myself. Any progress i will post here.

You mean like a converse of "create menu item". That's not a bad idea. I've been meaning to overhaul how menu creation works anyway, since I've had a request to allow menu items to be created by default for selected node types and to allow the creation of menus by users who don't normally have access to the menu page.

I'll keep this feature on my todo list for when I get to cleaning up that code.

Yeah, if you come up with a good solution, submit a patch and I'll take a look.
