I want to link a child view with a RSS-feed (which contains those childs) but I can't find any tutorial on this. I've tried to add a newsfeed via admin > structure > views > nodehierarchy_children_list but this doesn't seem to work. Any help on this?

Should work. There's nothing in NH that should affect how views rss works. Did you try attaching the feed display to the default display?
