Parallax image is not rendered when using custom media image type.

Problem/Motivation

I'd like to use a custom media image type.

Steps to reproduce

Add custom media image type e.g. parallax-bg. Change referenced media type in field field_mod_parallax to new custom media type. Add new paragraph with Parallax Background Modifier. Image/Background is not rendered.

I tried to make sure all major settings are the same, but no luck. Is this somehow hard coded or does it depends on the modifiers module?
