HI:

We were using 6.x-1.1 which now is marked as unsupported. I attempted upgrade to 6.x-2.0 but now cannot get it to work. Formerly, with 1.1, there was no configuration page? I could just add for example [mobilecode]http://mysite.com/someurl[/mobilecode] to the body of a node and it would automatically make the QR code. (provided I had the input type for mobile codes enabled).

I see now there are lots of settings, such as the need to set up and indicate a preset and / or provider. But how do I know which provider was used before, with 1.1? So that I can test and keep things the same before attempting new providers. Do I need to register with a provider? Was 1.1 using an internal provider, and if I wish to duplicate the 1.1 experience, I just need to set up the internal provider for 2.0?

Ok, I have gotten it working using a google preset.

Is it possible to not indicate a preset in the opening mobile code tag, and have it just use the default in that case, or set a specific preset to use when no preset provided?

HI dparizek,

I'm glad you've got things working now.

The original provider that was used in the 6.x-1.x branch was Nokia mobile codes, either the Datamatrix of or the QR. The reason for 6.x-2.x is that Nokia Mobile codes went down recently, for quite a period of time, making the module useless.

It is possible to not provide a 'preset' in the mobile code tag, but you would need to provide a 'provider' and settings instead, so it is not recommended. A default preset is definitely an option though, and I will make sure to investigate that option for the 2.1 branch.

Cheers,
