Hi,

I installed and configured memcache on my localhost as described here: http://andrewdunkle.com/2012/how-to-install-memcached-for-drupal-7.html

The memcache server is up and running and php module is loaded.

However, as soon as I enable this module my Drupal installation stops working (WSOD), leaving the following message in error.log:

mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Catchable fatal error: Argument 2 passed to SelectQuery::fields() must be of the type array, null given, called in /var/www/d7/htdocs/includes/entity.inc on line 279 and defined in /var/www/d7/htdocs/includes/database/select.inc on line 1301

Any idea what I could try?

Regards,
haggins

After uninstalling/installing the whole stack multiple times, it finaly works. I have no idea what went wrong in the first place.

Did you ever work out why this happened? I've just encountered the exact same issue with the Protected Pages module...

Nope, I wasn't able to reproduce this.

Different module (https://www.drupal.org/project/css_injector). Same problem...

Googled

"Catchable fatal error: Argument 2 passed to SelectQuery::fields() mu"

and came here.

Seems is happening quite often.

Idea to reproduce:

Try to install lots of modules in a single pass in order for PHP script timeout to trigger.

I guess that specific error depends on module that interrupts install on timeout.

If you try it a lot you can get the same error :)

Best solution: improve overall module installation, maybe make it transactional, maybe go by mininstalls.

I'm unable to duplicate this. If anyone finds a way to (semi)consistently duplicate this, it would be very helpful in tracking it down if there's still an issue here.

Unable to duplicate, hopefully it's fixed in the latest release.
