parrottvision CreditAttribution: parrottvision commentedHow about the option to have this ON or OFF by default? DBL Opt-in isn't a global requirement legally in a lot of countries, and for some uses of mailchimp it's just a serious pain for end users.

Greg BoggsIn that case, you can still uncheck the double opt in configuration in your site.

jigariusHow about allowing the admin to choose if the "Please check your email to confirm your subscription" message should be displayed? For example, I used the custom status message field to include the confirmation message. So my users get two status messages! Also, the one that comes with mailchimp out of the box doesn't have a full-stop (period) at the end and it appears before the custom status message which I configure.

samuel.mortensonWe've decided not to move forward with this feature.
