I can reproduce this. However, I should clarify that when hovering the carousel will not begin a new scroll, however, it will continue the current one. Ideally hovering should both stop future scrolling and pause the carousel wherever it is in the current scrolling cycle

dmkelner commentedThis worked on previous versions, but for 7.x-2.7 the carousel does not pause on hover. Has any progress been made?
