Seems to me the most important thing is to resolve the reported bugs. Some of these may well be dup's and I know many have patches already uploaded for them, but they're still open so I'm listing them here.
Thoughts? Too much, too little, major things I missed?
I would suggest it is high time either we release new 2.0 or atleast release a new alpha version. Several changes have gone into the code since last alpha version. If we look at the above list, the remaining once could be easily classified as feature requests instead of issues.
Hello smk-ka, I would love to help apply and test out the 'needs review' patches..but even that might be tricky for me as I'm a real rookie. Invite module looks really cool and I installed it on my current site. It would be awesome to see it further develop like the other modules I am adding to my site. I will start by trying to test out the one 'needs review' #417780: Patch to validate emails against site access rules (sorry if I mislead by helping organize the list at #5). Have a good day!
Hello SMK-ka, do you really really think, new features/patches are required for release? Could you please aggresively narrow the list? IMHO we are out with Alpha for over a year now and unless something is drastically broken we should be releasing that versions first. All new issues can be added as feature request. And then we can focus on getting another version or release out with those.

smk-ka commented@ajayg or robby.smith would you be able to help out with the remaining issues (i.e. review and commit code)? This module could need a hand (or two).

YK85 commentedkindly bumping this as smk-ka has committed many patches in the past 24hrs

smk-ka commented6.x-2.0-beta2 is out.
From this list remain the following feature request (in no particular order):
#170327: Disable registration email verification when user registered using invited email
#397712: Mollom integration
#417780: Patch to validate emails against site access rules
Still somewhat broken is support for anonymous invites, which has always been a little neglected (#335805: Lacking support for Anonymous users ).
Least, there remains probably the most tricky part: ensure that invite works smoothly with third-party modules like Auto Assign Role or Logintoboggan.

YK85 commentedBumping up the queue so others may see and maybe contribute in different areas.
Thanks for all the great work!
