When I reassign a user from "role#1" (allowed 10 invites) to "role#2" (allowed unlimited invites), the invite module does not reflect the the change. The user is still stuck with only 10 invites, while the rest of the site reflects the role change.

I also noticed (while accidentally making my situation even more difficult), that I was able to change a user from "role#2" to "role#1" and have the invite module reflect the change immediately. But I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to raise the invite limit to unlimited for a few specific users.

Does anyone know any kind of workaround for this? If anyone knows how I could change this manually through phpmyadmin, I'd really appreciate the advice.

Here's a quick and dirty fix... I was having the same problem and just tested this on 6.x dev

Open up invite.module and around line 621 add the user id's that you want to set as unlimited
