I am able to save a node with an IEF to another node. Once I try to update the parent node, I get an the error message The referenced entity (node: XX) does not exist..

This is while using either simple or complex views.

For what it is worth, the child node is unpublished even though I have it set to publish.

Yup, I've hit the same bug. However, this is duplicate with #2753553: Referencing new entity fails when reference method is view or entity is unpublished. Let's try to solve this over there.

I have the same problem, when several entities are added in a paragraph and one of these entities is deleted outside the paragraph, if I come back modified this paragraph, the validation fail because it still has the reference of the deleted node.

Only local images are allowed.
