I am able to save a node with an IEF to another node. Once I try to update the parent node, I get an the error message The referenced entity (node: XX) does not exist..
This is while using either simple or complex views.

For what it is worth, the child node is unpublished even though I have it set to publish.

dwwYup, I've hit the same bug. However, this is duplicate with #2753553: Referencing new entity fails when reference method is view or entity is unpublished. Let's try to solve this over there.
Thanks,

samsylve commentedI have the same problem, when several entities are added in a paragraph and one of these entities is deleted outside the paragraph, if I come back modified this paragraph, the validation fail because it still has the reference of the deleted node.
