I'm pretty sure this has been addressed, but I can't seem to find the support thread.

Is there or will there be support for manipulating an imagefield-2.x default image?

no not right now... how about trying to post a feature request, and maybe setting the proper version.

I set that version because that was the one I was using. :P I'll go ahead and post the feature request.
