I'm working on a module that could really use the filtering provided by htmLawed, the problem is that the output is saved to a file. I've tried calling the htmLawed() function but it's declaring as undefined, is there another way I can do this with your module?

While not a high priority thing, a quick response would be valued, thanks in advance.

Sorry, I am not sure I fully understand this. Would the functionality of your module depend on the htmLawed module, or is it that you want to put into use the htmLawed script/library (which is used by the htmLawed Drupal module)? For the latter, on how to use htmLawed, the htmLawed website may have the right information.
