This is GovCMS US, a groundbreaking initiative (and a Drupal recipe) to standardize and streamline government website development in the United States.
Today, agencies spend excessive time and money reinventing the wheel—building similar sites and solutions from scratch.
Inspired by successful implementations in Australia and the UK, GovCMS US proposes a non-profit, open-source consortium that provides:
- A central repository of proven templates, technologies, and processes
- Built-in compliance with FedRAMP, HIPAA, Section 508, and WCAG
- AI-driven content generation, validation, and accessibility checks
- Tools to accelerate launches, reduce costs, and enhance quality across government digital experiences
