google result count in xml changes on pagination

I get Google cse result as xml, the total no of pages is xxx. I'm doing pagination with limit 5.
each and every time when i click next the total no of pages changes randomly. for eg if the total no of pages is 2500 on next it may change to 2300 and again next to 2700 etc.,
How to fix it.
