mas0h commentedSame here!
heatherwoz commentedAre you viewing the site over https? Could be the same as #2072029: Search results not showing when browsing over HTTPS
Comment #3
Konstantin Komelin commentedSet correct status.
mas0h commentedNo, I'm using the normal HTTP protocol.

Konstantin Komelin commentedComment #6
webadpro commentedI get the following error:
Refused to display 'mydomain.com..' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'.
walkero commentedI am getting the same problem with "Load denied by X-Frame-Options", by the http protocol. Is there a solution for this one?
funana commentedHmmm. I could swear that it was working very well last week. Now there is nothing returned else than
No https, btw.
Edit: I tried changing the option
Display search results
from On this site (requires JavaScript) to On Google, no change.

Anonymous (not verified) commentedRunning into this problem today on a new site that displays using http for non authenticated user and https for all logged in users. Using the secure pages module to select https for logged in users.
Neither works with Google CSE. I didn't apply the patch/solution in #2 as I am not sure if it is relevant for a site that used http and https displays.
I am also running a site on the same drupal code base (Drupal multisite) that does not use secure pages and only displays in http. For that site, Google CSE is working normally.
Apart from the fact that the non http site is working, it is also "older", having been up and running for months, while the duel http/https site is brand new in the last 24 hours. Is there a delay in the Google CSE results based on Google indexing the site? Could this be the problem people are reporting here?
funana commentedIt's not really reproducable I fear. Must be a problem at google's side.
Started working again out of the blue for our site...
Anonymous (not verified) commentedJust a quick update, I can get the search results to display if I choose display search results on Google. Obviously this is not optimal, but at least it works.
Anonymous (not verified) commentedOkay, I solved my problem by installing a copy of the module for each site in my Drupal multisite deployment. Instead of relaying on a single copy of the module in sites/all/modules, I installed two copies, one in sites/site1.com/modules and one in sites/site2.com/modules. For whatever reason, this worked and I am now able to run google cse in a Drupal multisite setup.
plazik commentedI have the same problem.
The only one way to get module works - change "Display search results" to "On Google" and using "Google CSE" block not Drupal core's "Search form" block.

Davidz commentedHi guys,
For me, it's a google indexing issue.
I fixed this issue by uploading a sitemap.xml manually to google custom search admin page which force all the pages are indexed.
However, I am not sure if it really has been fixed, as it may only lists results in the xml file I submitted.
I submitted a ticket to google well, with attached feedback later.

hejeva commentedI am also receiving a "Load denied by X-Frame-Options". Anyone have solutions? I have set this up for about 10 sites and its has worked. Now I can't get it to work on last two sites. Both giving the Load Denied error. There is no https involved.
dsteplight commentedWe ended up using https://www.drupal.org/project/gss at my job. We used the paid version but it got the job done. The results come back as an OL list with results but in LI tags. So it played real nice with out CSS.
vinmassaro commentedHitting on this issue as well and not sure how to work around it! (that is, using javascript to display results)
alexmoreno commentedjust to clarify, version 2.x-dev allows to use the CSE paid version and customise the searches.
mikefyfer commentedSame issue here.
Refused to display 'http://www.google.com/cse?cx=XX...XX' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'.Comment #20
maxview commentedsame case, empty page with firefox & chrome; with IE 11 it displays "This content cannot be displayed in a frame"
maxview commentedsolved, checking the google side configure.
alexmoreno commented@maxview you mean changing the settings in the module? It may worth to somehow force some settings in the module itself if that's being confusing.
Thank you.
mikefyfer commented@maxview, could you give a little more info? 'checking the google side configure' doesn't mean much to me.
Thanks!
mikefyfer commentedDid a little more digging, looks like iframes aren't supported in the latest version of CSE - https://support.google.com/customsearch/answer/2641279?hl=en
This issue seems to be the path forward for any people using CSE (version 2) - https://www.drupal.org/node/2422979
Haven't dug in there yet, but will report back next week after I've had some time to work on it.
