I changed my Username d.o a couple of weeks ago.
http://drupal.org/user/613292

However the Git attribution section on my profile still shows my previous username.

I had a look through the documentation again and found nothing regarding this. Any ideas?

The documentation about Obtaining Git access, http://drupal.org/node/1047190, says:

Turning on Git access for your account

  1. Navigate to your user profile and click the Edit tab > Git access sub-tab.
  2. Specify your Git username in the Desired Git username field.
Once selected, this value can never change
, so choose wisely! It will form the basis of URLs for your sandbox projects. If you already had a CVS account, this will be pre-set and uneditable.

It seems the no-reply address is based on the git username, which wouldn't have changed.

GIT username can never be changed? Why not?

I'm with you on this. Unfortunately, somehow I missed that and didn't choose wisely. It would be nice to be able to change or re-associate this. Now that I have changed my username and it doesn't match it's annoying.

As a bug report, this looks like it should be closed. It could be re-opened as a feature request if people are still interested, although it doesn't look like there's anyone particularly eager to work on it, so far.
