profile2 entity proximity to node works, to taxonomy term not

hello

i have a profile2 entity that i am trying to display promxity to a geofield on a term entity. i am using the get entity from URL > taxonomy term > geofield on that term. but is does not work. yet i am doing the same thing with a node type and it works just fine. is anybody aware of any issues regarding taxonomy terms? just curious. thanks
