graphs show properly to most users
but 'authenticated users' do not see them
the following appears ..

...............
The website cannot display the page
HTTP 500
Most likely causes:
•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a prog
..............

everyone else see a perfect graph
in some cases we see the message .. 'the element has no style associated'

the Forena Reports Data section has 'access content' in the security section

the page use to produce nice graphs for the client,
who logs on with privileges of 'authenticated user'
but now we see nothing except as above

Something obvious?

Advice/support appreciated

Issue tags: +access permissions

I guess, that it is caused by new way how permissions are working in last Forena version.
Watch user group permissions. Look for permissions of Forena module...

Hey Russell, over there "down under"! Have you noticed the speed with which forena support issues like yours today get addressed, and resolved!?!? 15 minutes for Janeks to add his guess, and 30 more mins for you to verify/confirm. And all this while "Le Patron" (aka David) is still asleep at the (my) other side of the Atlantic!

So how is forena over there these days? You're not the one who caused forena's usage statistics to 'increase a very little bit' last weekend, are you?

PS: It'd be interested still if Le Patron could add some explanation about what he think was really happening, and why granting the permission solved it ...

Piere, BTW there is such thing like releasenotes right behind the downolads links.
It is worth to read them... ;-)
And further there is as link "Upgrading from 7.x-3.x", also interesting to read :)

So before to wake up "Le Patron" let's do our home work...

BTW: I didn't do first times it either, so I had similar problem, that's why I replied with my guess. :)

Title: client can't see graphs » Authenticated users can't see any graphs

Janeks, you're right about those release notes. But shouldn't there be something related to it also in reports/help.setup#permissions ? If so, suggestion about what exactly to add where?

PS: It'd be interesting to know if the original issue was only related to "graphs", or rather just "any report" ... Russell, can you tell?

Pierre good morning from Down Under

All I had to do was, at Janek's suggestion
go to Modules->Forena reports->Permissions,
and tick 'Access Drupal Reports Data', and 'Access Data from Data Blocks Directly' for Authenticated Users.

The graphs appeared immediately.

I haven't tried un-ticking one or the other yet, to see if only one is needed, but will, and will let you know.

Our client-accessible 'Dashboard' on our website (anodyneonline.com) has a number of tables, and graphs,
but only the graphs are generated by Forena, the tables are generated directly by mysql/php,
so I can't comment on whether reports, as well as graphs, were affected.

I should add, that the graphs were displaying fine until recently ( less than 30 days ),
and I didn't manually download any upgrade to Forena Reports, so never got to look at any Release Notes, as Janek mentioned.
So I'm assuming that any update to modules is occurring automatically (is that nonsense?)

In any case, yes, the support from the 'Forena crowd' is brilliant,
and as mentioned in earlier eMails, our company would like to add some 'attribution' for Forena on our landing page,
and asked David for some text he'd be happy with. haven't heard from him on that yet.

Not sure if we were responsible for the blip on Forena activity, but our clients all go for their dashboards on or about 1st of Month,
to get the data they need for their own company's internal OH&S reports, so it's possible.

Salutations to 'Le Patron'

Grif

post note : un-ticked 'access data from data blocks directly'
and the graphs still appear to authenticated users,
so 'access drupal reports data' seems to be all you need.
