clauded commentedI can answer the second question : it's displaying the name of the subdir you're in. So a single / means you're at the root.

Susurrus commentedFilesize is already shown, as for date, which date? There's created date or modified date, and displaying both is normally not useful, but which one to display? Depending on the situation and the OS one or the other may be "right." With descriptions being shown, there isn't much room for two long DATETIMEs to be shown in the same row on a default theme like Garland, which is what I develop on as a baseline.
I'll have to look at how it's done in 5.x, but I'm not sure when that will be. My dev machine is shot right now. If you could post a screenshot, that'd help.

clauded commentedIn most file browsers, modification date is shown. That would be my vote For the format, the short date-time format could be used.

Anonymous (not verified) commentedIn - three-column - Garland is no more room for an additional column at all. Or you have to use 8 + 3 file names.
As a basic functionality new files are marked with the word new. My vote for an optional time column, or for none.

Yoran commentedNow the filebrowser node support created, modified and mime-type column. Everything can be enabled and disabled.
