I have catched a bug in today dev
PDOException: SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table file_metadata doesn't exist ... in file_entity_file_load() (line 187 of /var/www/sj-lou/sites/all/modules/contrib/file_entity/file_entity.file.inc
Uninstall and install latest 7.x-2.0-alpha3 fixing an issue
