Automatically keeps field instances synchronized across entities and bundles.
Ever had to change the settings of a field that was used in many different content types? Wish you could only change it once, and have all fields updated?
This module introduces the concept of "master fields" and "slave fields". The slave fields will automatically inherit the field instance settings of the master field.
How to?
- Surf to /admin/config/system/field-instance-sync 'Field Instance Sync configuration' to select which entity types should automatically get synced with master fields when a new bundle is created.
- Mark a field as master field by editing the field and checking the checkbox 'Sync field settings across different bundles'.
- Create a new bundle and enjoy synced fields getting created automatically.
All settings are exportable through Features.
