I am not able to enable the module. I am not allowed to "Check" the module to hit submit and turn it on.

I've seen this happen with other modules before. Did you have FFPC installed at all before? I've seen this happen where a module is installed, then removed, then reloaded into the modules folder and you can't enable it because it's required modules are confused....

Disable ALL the modules that aren't part of core and save. Then go back and you should be able to enable FFPC and everything again. Try this as a reset.
