I can tell that this module was a beast to create and I always appreciate the hard work guys like you who, have a grasp of this stuff, do to improve Drupal. I want to encourage you as much as possible to keep working on this. It looks like it will be a solid module as it is off to a great start.
Now for the criticism part. I don't know what foo is.
In other words, the video did a great job at explaining the basics of what this module does, but I couldn't grasp how it works or how too use it as I add podcasts to my site.
The Audio module made sense to me, you uploaded an audio file and it syndicated it with the ID3 stuff. Is there any way to export a basic working view using this module that can be tweaked? I just don't get the configuration. I saw the steps you went through on the video, but I don't grasp what is happening.
It is very frustrating for me as I work on a big podcast project that the best solution seems to be to start over and go back to 5.x. Is 6.x the Vista/Windows ME of Drupal?
I know that this module is in its early build and I don't want to discourage you from further development. Most of the problems I am having are comprehension, not function. If you could spend an hour or so and build maybe three short videos explaining each step in detail that would prevent a few more comments like this in the future.
Part 1. Preparing to use the module - show any work you have to do to prepare your content such as vocabulary tweaks.
Part 2. How to build a view for the module - explain what each step does as you do it.
Part 3. Testing the module - make sure to show the end result on your page as the world will see it, not just the RSS and source code.
I now it is more work, but that is a classic mistake in open source, we work so hard on the project that we run out of gas when it comes time to help people implement it.
Thanks again.

Rob_Feature commentedYou may want to check out this more extensive "start to finish" video tutorial that I've created here.
The reality is, this is a module intended for developers who are custom building a podcast site. It's not really intended as a single "out of the box", start-to-finish solution to podcasting. It's one piece in a larger CCK/Views puzzle. That means it's a little more involved to setup than just clicking a button, but is MUCH more flexible and MUCH more powerful than an all in one solution could be.
Marking this as 'documentation' and 'by design', since it sounds like you're looking for a 'one click' podcasting solution. This isn't intended to be that.
