Hi,
I read through the instructions on the project page and looked through the issues in the queue, but I still can't seem to get this to work.
There is no readme.txt file in the module folder. Based on the information contained in the issues, I downloaded simplepie.inc from http://svn.simplepie.org/simplepie/trunk/simplepie.inc
I placed copies of it in /sites/libraries, /sites/libraries/feeds, and /sites/all/modules/feeds_flickr. I then cleared all caches (drush cc, 1).
I've enabled the module and created a new feed importer. Under "Select a parser" I don't see either a simplepie or flickr option.
I've tried using Feeds versions 6.x-1.0-beta10 and 6.x-1.x-dev (2011-May-19).
Am I missing something?

grasmash commentedMy fault! I misread the URL path. The correct placement was /sites/all/modules/feeds/libraries. Sorry!

dragonwize commentedYou must first install simplepie according to the feeds.module instructions. The feeds module has a readme with all you need. Beyond that you can use this module like all other feeds parser plugins. You have obviously read the instructions posted in the issues marked as such, it contains all that is needed step by step, the first step is getting simplepie correctly working with the feeds module as it instructs though. There is not much else I can do to help you beyond that.

grasmash commentedYou're right-- I needed to read more closely. I was looking for a feeds_flickr readme file rather than a feeds readme.
It looks like you can also use the Libraries API to include the simplepie library.
