While I understand that multiple vocabularies would result in duplication of feed-items, not allowing multiple categories makes organization and taxonomy display significantly more difficult. Any duplication issues can be solved with views while some of the challanges of not having multiple vocularies can not so easliy be overcome.

Simply allowing more vocabularies would make this go much easier!

any movement on this? obviously you can go in and manually attach other taxonomies to an item but this is quite an inefficient way of tagging feedparser items where other taxonomy drop boxes could be supplied on each feeds setting page

Not done anything with this. Not critical as it doesn't stop the package from working.

I find if you want to categorize feed, only way is to use free tag.
set a vocabulary, and allow free tag.
