FeedAPI data currently does not expire feed items at all.

We should implement this. However, let's not use 'expire' because it would force us to delete every item one by one. Let's pull the expiry setting from FeedAPI and then use a DELETE query on all items > than X.

There is search integration for data module coming soon: #552414: Search integration. Once this lands, we should also invalidate the search index for deleted items.

I am usually a friend of small patches but given the speed in which we reworked FeedAPI Data in the last few days it would help to consider things as a single patch. Not too bad at a moment where there is no release version yet.

This patch has been worked into:

#554060: Mapper to joined tables supporting multiple values per field
