Hello I am new working with the fbconnect and I seem to have one issue. When a user sets up their account they have the option to invite all their facebook friends. That is great! The problem I am having is after they submit their request it takes them to a page that does not exist: "http://www.connect.facebook.com/www.hechangedme.com"
I have been trying to fix this but I can't not see where. The friend invites do go out and the end user does receive them but why is it trying to take them to that url.
Is there a way for me to fix this.

HS commentedThe url they are being directed to has to be configured in facebook's developer application settings. Recall where you entered canvas url and stuff?
Once you fix that you're going to be faced with the same issue I've been stuck with. People accepting invites just end up at the url you inputted, nothing else happens. They are not prompted to register, enter profile data, or anything.
Maybe I missed something but give it a go. I started an issue here but as you can see both your issue and mine have been ignored.
See this: http://drupal.org/node/410984

sonlinemedia commentedThanks for the reply Hilal,
I did not think anyone was ever going to respond. I am going to subscribe to your issue.
Thanks again.
Comment #3
sonlinemedia commentedHmmm for some reason I am still getting the same issue. Do you know which one in the FB developer I need to set to fix this issue? Here is what I have set:
Canvas Page:
Canvas Page URL--> http://apps.facebook.com/hechangedme
Post-Authorize Redirect URL--> http://hechangedme.com
Authentication Page:
Post-Authorize Callback URL--> http://hechangedme.com
Post-Remove Callback URL--> http://hechangedme.com
PROBLEM: still after I select my friends and send out invites with fbconnect it redirects too: http://www.connect.facebook.com/www.hechangedme.com

HS commentedBcuree,
So when you invite friends is it re-directing you?
As far as I know for Facebook connect you don't need a canvas url, you only need to enter the information under 'authorise' and 'connect'.
Under authentication your Post-Authorize Callback URL should be : yourdomain.com/sites/all/modules/fbconnect/xd_receiver.html (or wherever your fbconnect/xd_receiver.html file resides)
This is all trial and error for me as well, glad to help in anyway I can.
I hope it works.

HS commentedBcuree,
I don't have the same issue. When I invite my friends, it opens up a facebook invite option showing all my friends' avatars.
There must be something you missed in the installation instructions. I would suggest you un install the whole thing, and follow the instructions on the 'read me' text file.
Did you add the code to your template.php file?
Comment #7
sonlinemedia commentedYes Hilal,
I also get this page where it shows all my friends' avatars. I get the error after I select my friends, then I click the button that says "Send Invitation". Then a window pops up and I click "send".... then I get directed to the 404 error page. Have you actually went all the way through and sent your invites?
Comment #8
HS commentedYeah! I've invited a lot of my friends. It works.
Comment #9
sonlinemedia commentedOk Hilal thanks for your help. I followed the instructions exactly but I will try it again Let me be sure first that when you say the template.php file --> My instructions say to add this: to the page.tpl file. I did not add anything on the template.php
Comment #10
HS commentedSorry its page.tpl not template.php
you have to add the code for the FMBL.
Clear your browsers cache and also clear all cached data. And then connect via facebook after you re-install everything. It should work.

vau6hn commentedI've followed all the steps and I still get the broken link too! It goes to http://www.connect.facebook.com/render_fbml.php.
I Don't understand!
Must be something in the app settings post back?

jessehsDitto #12. I see my friends' avatars, select them and send a message, but get directed to http://www.connect.facebook.com/render_fbml.php
Documentation anywhere about this?

Abeaudrian commentedHi
I have a different problem I am using the DRUPAL-6 dev release. I have the module installed and all seems perfect, however when I go to invite facebook friends I see the avatars of my friends as intended, but after I invite the friend / friends it takes my current window over to facebook and and loads this page "http://www.connect.facebook.com/widgets/serverfbml.php". Which says
(The page you requested was not found.
You may have clicked an expired link or mistyped the address. Some web addresses are case sensitive.
Return home
Go back to the previous page)
What is causing this error. Is it something I need to configure in the facebook application settings?
Please advise. Great work with this very useful module by the way ;)

Adrian
