We're a small team with an interest in porting facetapi to Drupal 8, including some modernizations. This sandbox is open to everyone who has an interest in Facet API and you can get commit access by just asking in this issue. We do ask that you report your work in the issue queue and let others know what you will be working on. Patch workflows and reviews are still very appreciated but are not required at this point.
We will be moving to the Facet API main project page once the port is somewhat stable. Until then, this is the place to be!

You should checkout 8.x-1.x not sure how we can change the default for that.

you can change that (from the project) going to: edit -> Default branch (tab)

.../edit/default-branch

Is there anything I could help with? I was having a look at the list of issues but it does not seem to be much to be picked.

I need facetAPI in d8 version. and realy to work with dev release of FacetAPI but I can't see any files added

@RavindraSingh https://www.drupal.org/project/facets/git-instructions, you shouldn't see anything with that sandbox in it, but something like:

git clone --branch 8.x-1.x https://git.drupal.org/project/facets.git
cd facets
