There has been at least one important fix recently about config deletion, so it probably makes sense to do a new release.

There are some other fixes as well, but most are not quite ready yet.

Worked through the issue queue and updated some items a bit. Nothing ready.

I like to quickly investigate the potential impact of #2673076: Investigate loading pattern of field_collection
If it improves performance significantly, we can commit it and care about further profiling in follow-ups.

The other issue seems no major performance improvement, maybe even degradation.

Thus skipped it and released https://www.drupal.org/project/entity_reference_revisions/releases/8.x-1.4
