There are just too many fieldsets when editing the user page.

This needs to be rethought and items in it need to be grouped together into two or maybe three fieldsets based around logical themes.

How about just:

  • Account Information (same stuff as it currently has)
  • Personal Options (everything that's not in Account Info)

@mcrittenden - sounds good to me. Can you craft up a patch with those fieldsets? Probably don't make them collapsible.

pawel.traczynski - would the redesign by @mcrittenden be enough. If not, please provide more details.

Apparently, fieldsets are no more used on user page.
Update this ticket if you think it's relevant to change it for D8...
