CKEditor not working in basic and restricted HTML formats, while normally working in full HTML. If I enable CKEditor in basic or restricted HTML formats. The Textarea disappears in the node/edit page, and no CKEditor buttons are visible. So no text can be entered.
CKEditor is working fully well when full HTML is selected on the same page.
So I have to keep CKEditor disabled for basic and restricted HTML formats.

Hi , Did you install any ckeditor plugin or tried to create one ?? If they haven't been coded properly , they will be the cause of errors in restricted html. Check browser console when you try to use ckeditor in restricted mode.

I have indeed installed several popular CKEditor plugins. However they have been enabled in Full HTML only. I have not touched Basic and Restricted HTML. However the problem is confined to the formats where I have not made any changes. That is confusing to me, as a person with only a working knowledge of computers.

I will uninstall the CKEditor plugins and see the behavior of CKEditor after that.

CKEditor List Style is the culprit. I checked this several times. It is the culprit.
