Did my first migration with 8.1.0 today. This issue is one of a series encountered as a result of the migration.

Source Site

Fairly simple Drupal 6.38 site: http://www.liveforpeace.org/
It only has three content types:

  • Forum topic
  • Page
  • Story

Target Site

  1. Brand new empty installation of Drupal 8.1.0
  2. Enabled modules on D8 that were available and working to make the selection of modules as close as possible on the source and target

Migration

Was straight forward taking only a minute, main content was moved. The migrate_drupa_ui log lines are at the bottom of this post.

Text formats and editors issue

When editing any of the nodes that were migrated, it was noticed that the "Text format" drop down had an abundance of choices. The usual choices:

  • Full HTML (with CKEditor)
  • Basic HTML (with CKEditor)
  • Restricted HTML
  • Plain text

A couple of additional ones:

  • Full HTML (with no editor chosen)
  • Basic HTML (with no editor chosen)

The source nodes were edited using "Full HTML" with Wysiwyg and CKEditor.
The migrated nodes now were set to "Full HTML" - the one with no editor chosen.
The only way to assign an editor for "Full HTML" was to edit the Text format, assign the CKEditor, and change the name of the Text format, if the name was left the same, a message would say that it couldn't be changed, 'cause there already was a Text format by that name "Full HTML".
