Followup from #766170: Overlay lacks rtl styling:
In some versions of Chrome and Safari, with a RTL language as the default, resizing a window with an overlay causes rendering errors. This screenshot of Chrome and Safari after resizing illustrates the bug. The same issue has been duplicated in:
- Latest Chrome stable channel and latest dev channel under OS 10.5.8
- Latest Chrome dev channel under OS 10.6
- Safari under OS 10.6
It does not seem to occur in Safari 5.0.5 on os 10.5.8.
(I'll check the specific versions in the screenshot above when I have the chance.)
Attached shows this behavior in the stable channel of Chrome. The problem seems to occur regardless of whether the patch in #766170: Overlay lacks rtl styling is applied.

xjmI saw the same issue in #766458: Seven theme lacks rtl styling with overlay disabled, also with toolbar enabled or disabled. So it looks like it may not actually be related specifically to overlay, even though I can't always duplicate it without overlay turned off.

nod_Overlay is dead to D8 #2088121: Remove Overlay.

David_Rothstein CreditAttribution: David_Rothstein commentedAccording to #2 this can be reproduced without the Overlay module (or at least it could a couple years ago... probably needs a new round of testing).
No idea what the right component for this is.
