but I'm not sure if you want it, as it's a bit opinionated and a bit esoteric. It's about how to organize your directories, using links, to reduce work and downtime during upgrades, and separate Drupal program files from content files. I've posted it to the installation forum asking for feedback ( http://drupal.org/node/1244642 ). If you want this under the CC license, it's yours. Making it fit your standards is a bit more effort, but perhaps I could find the time.

I've moved it into the multi site section of the installation guide.

Hopefully at some point, that whole section will get boiled down to something more manageable. Right now it's a bit of a dog's breakfast.
