Content not being deployed - Drupal 7 version

Hi guys,

I've been extensively using the Drupal 6 version of the project for more than a year. I've been a Drupal developer for quite a few years and I built a custom module to extend and customise the deployment process by means of hooks that 'deploy' module provides. All good, no probs.

But I just cannot make it work on Drupal 7. I followed the guides http://drupal.org/node/1406134 and http://drupal.org/node/1406136 step by step, word by word. Have double and triple checked - everything set up and configured as per the guides above - still no luck. Tried to deploy with both sites sitting on my localhost as well as with the external destination site. I am getting no errors at all! just nothing. The cron runs and nothing happens. No errors in watchdog, no errors in PHP log, neither on source nor on the destination.

Can you guys please advise whether there is anything that's not mentioned in the guides or whether there's something I should have a look at first of all?
