Search by location returns unpublished content

If I search for content by a keyword, only published content is returned, but if I switch to the Locations tab, one of my unpublished dates is shown, even though it is not accessible by anyone except admins. This happens if logged in or not.

You can test by going to http://heartofbiking.org.nz/search/location/mapua - the first entry (grand opening) is unpublished - the status in the node table is 0 - but it is still shown here. If you do the same search on content it is not returned.

I've done a first look through the module source to see if I could offer a fix but I'm not familiar enough with the module to find the solution.
