This modules does everything that I needed except a more complex taxonomy chooser. I would like to ask for help how to use the feature rich Hierarchical select module's widgets for choosing from a hierarchical vocabulary.

jdanthinne CreditAttribution: jdanthinne commentedGreat news… I've just pushed a new DEV version with Hierarchical select support (available as a choice for taxonomy selectors).
Please test DEV and review, or try patch at http://drupalcode.org/project/custom_search.git/patch/e22dff9 .

jdanthinne CreditAttribution: jdanthinne commented@etcetera : which versions of Custom Search & Hierarchical Select are you using?

xtrimer CreditAttribution: xtrimer commentedSame here.
Using Custom Search 7.x-1.x-dev and Hierarchical Select 7.x-3.0-alpha5.
It only shows -none-. With other selector works fine. I don't see php or JS errors.

jbenjamin CreditAttribution: jbenjamin commentedI must be missing something about how this works. Im using the DEV version of Custom Search & Hierarchical Select 6.x-3.7. I can see the option of Hierarchial menus in the setting page, but not on the custom search block page.
What I'd love to see is the search popup with Hierarchial Select within that. Is this doable?
thanks in advance!
UPDATE: It looks as though i misunderstood. The Hierarchical Select only seems to affect the core search form, not the custom search blocks. Is there a possibility of having my cake and eating it too? I can get by using the core search form, but I'd also like to have a custom search block with similar features.
thanks!

jdanthinne CreditAttribution: jdanthinne commentedUnfortunately, the rewrite of Hierarchical Select for Drupal 7 (Hierarchical Select 4!) is now postponed indefinitely… so I can't support it until it is stable.

YesCT CreditAttribution: YesCT commentedHierarchial Select (with capitals) is the more common term. changing to that so the lesser used one (with all lowercase) can be deleted. https://www.drupal.org/project/issues/search?projects=&project_issue_fol...
