What is the plan to upgrade this module to Drupal 8 -- once D8 is released?
One of the issues may be that this module itself is dependent on others, so the upgrade path will depend in part on them.
Thank you

djdevinHi,
You are correct, while Course can function without the contribs like Quiz/Signup/Webform etc, it is sort of useless without them.
We don't have a "plan" currently but my initial thoughts would be to separate the supported glue modules (like course_quiz, course_webform) into another project so that D8 Course won't have to wait for them.

cgove commentedIn light of Drupal's imminent 8.0 public release, any recent thoughts or actions with regard to this?

djdevinHi,
My above thoughts are pretty much the same, there are some integrations that are just not ready yet so it would make sense to move the more specific ones outside of Course. Both Quiz and Webform are very large projects that will have to be ported first as they are the building blocks for assessing learners.

cgove commentedThanks for the update. It looks like the Webform port is underway. https://www.drupal.org/node/2574683 Hopefully the the ports for Quiz and eventually Course will begin soon.

alxbridge commentedJust to note that Webform will be coming to Drupal 8 through the YAML Form module (which will be moved to the Webform namespace in the near future). More discussion on https://www.drupal.org/node/2805097.
The latest on the Quiz module states that "the D7 version of this module is being cleaned up so that a migration/port to D8 will be easier."

chertzogHas there been any movement on this by anyone? We are about to start on a couple D8 projects that we would like to leverage Course for, and would be willing to either sponsor or contribute quite a bit of resources toward.

stephen ollman+1 for an update on the D8 port...any news?

devbanana commentedI'm also interested in this. I'm starting a new project in D8 and would like to use this module. Any updates?

ydahiWould be a terrible loss if this wasn't ported.

djdevinThis is in the process of being ported - the 8.x-2.x under active development. Only the basics work but there is an official branch now.
You can file new issues against 8.x-2.x
https://www.drupal.org/project/quiz/also has a 8.x-5.x branch now which a lot of people use Course with so we can start on that integration.
