I fixed a number of bugs in the code and expanded on the design just a little (for example, I need to be able to make calls to the server https://secure3.convio. The code is up in the sandbox project at http://drupal.org/sandbox/mfer/1227566 where you can pull it form. I didn't roll proper patches because this touches on a number of areas. If you would prefer patches please let me know.

Thank you for the changes you are doing, @mfer. I'll be taking a look through your changelog and comment back here once I've done so and/or if I have any questions/concerns (though from the little I saw in your sandbox, the changes seem sound).

@mfer, I looked through the code. All the changes looked great, and I have pulled in your merge requests. Since this was my first time actually using the git merge functionality, please take a look through to see that I have done so correctly.
